Julie Freed is a mega-multitasker. Not only is she an event planner, mom, wife, and now health and fitness coach, but she’s also come up with a way to make waffles healthy!

We like where this is headed, Julie! These protein waffles are a perfect breakfast to feed the kiddos, to make them smile and us smile because we’re getting good-stuff in them. These multi-tasking protein waffles will be on our breakfast table very soon!

Protein Waffles

  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
  • ¼ cup egg whites or 1 egg
  • ¼ banana
  • ¼ tsp. vanilla extract
  • ¼ tsp. ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp. baking powder
  • 2 tbsp. water

  1. Heat waffle iron.
  2. Mash banana in a bowl.
  3. Add all other ingredients and mix.
  4. Coat waffle iron with cooking spray and pour in batter.
  5. Cook per waffle iron directions (do not open until ready!).
  6. Serve with toppings of your choice – berries, almond butter, maple syrup, etc.!
