This Friday restaurant consultant, Jean Marie Manning, has handed us one of her fabulous cocktail recipes to chase away the cold with rum, Gran Marnier, and a few other special ingredients.
Her delightful concoction, Hemingway’s Vision, is the perfect fall cocktail. The main ingredient is Papa Pilar Dark rum, which was inspired by Hemingway’s appetite for adventure.
A wonderful little tidbit of information, The Hemingway Estate plans to donate 100% of their royalty profits to organizations that “embody the likes of adventure, literacy and conservation causes dear to Hemingway and his heirs”.
1/2 oz. Cointeau
1/2 oz. Gran Marnier
Dash of Orange Bitters
1/2 oz. Pineapple Juice
1 Bada Bing Cherry
- Combine Papa’s Pilar Dark Rum, Cointreau, Gran Marnier, a dash of orange bitters and splash of pineapple juice.
- Shake with ice.
- Serve Straight up in your favorite martini glass.
- Garnish with Bada Bing Cherry.
Best enjoyed by a fireplace, under a nice cozy blanket. Enjoy the weekend folks and thank you Jean Marie for another fantastic cocktail!
