Hi Mamas!

What a day!!!! If this weather doesn’t give you spring fever, nothing will! But, even if the Mercury hadn’t reached the lovely 70s on March 9th, we would still be yearning for spring. Whenever we flip the calendar over to March, we get “spring madness,” in our brains. All we can hear is…

Bring it… bring it… bring it- nooowwww!!!

Even though, we have a little more than a week left until the official start of spring, we shouldn’t put away those Ugg boots and turtlenecks just yet. Mother Nature usually likes to throw a few unexpected snowballs or at least a burst of arctic air our way. She is after all a women, lol!  Therefore, we still have a little bit of time before it is officially cotton tees and light cardigan and denim season. Remember, preparation is key!

10. Use Self Tanner

There are a few really great self tanners on the market. The one I apply everyday is Jergens Natural Glow; $1.99 of pure Hauteness. – Kimberly

9. Exfoliate with a Body Scrub

Before applying self tanner, you need a great scrub to slough away all of those tired winter skin cells. My go to guy in the shower is… Well, okay, my second go to guy in the shower is Frank Body Scrub. – Kimberly

 8. Get into the Smoothie Habit

I decided one day at Target that I just needed to buy something. We all have this epiphany while walking the aisles in Target. Admit it.

The lucky item of the day was the Nutri Bullet.  My teenage sons make smooties all by themselves. They are fun to use and you can mix lots of healthy goodies to take on the go! Nuff said! – Kimberly

7. “Spring” for a Vest

Even with the sunlight hitting us a little more directly, there can still be a chill in the air. That’s why a nice vest is a sensible go-to fashion item in the spring. It will keep your core warm as you go for that morning stroll.  Here are a couple we love!

NorthfaceVest

Really, we dig any of the North Face vests. But the v-line stitching on the Quince vest does a smokin’ job of highlighting our curves!

If you’re more of a high-end type of mama, you might be into this Monclear vest. Pretty sleek ladies, pretty sleek.

6. Get those Feet in Flip-Flop Shape

Hello cute little tootsies! Eek! You’re not cute at all! In fact, it looks like you haven’t seen the sun since, well, September. Besides a good pedicure, we’ve both tried and recommend the Baby Foot Peel as a way to get rid of all of that skin that has been collecting on your winter feet (yuck!). Afterward, polish up those toes and you will be ready for your favorite sandals!

5. Pare Down your Winter Clothes

This one is more of just a good house-keeping tip. If you store your seasonal clothing, pretty soon you’re going to have to swap the cold for the warmer weather goods. (Maybe today you already dipped into the lighter ware.) Regardless, don’t store winter clothes you haven’t worn, look dingy, or just don’t fit. Go through your closet and either donate or trash the items that haven’t made if off the hanger over the past couple of years. Trust us, nothing will put a “spring” in your step like a lighter load.

4. Invest in a Great Pair of Sunnies!

They give you instant style and most importantly reduce squinting which can cause wrinkles! Oh, and it helps you drive better in the seasonal solar glare… yes that’s important too.

3. Brighten Your Smile!

We’re not sure how all of you got through the winter days, but we managed to pull through via a combination of red wine, coffee, and sea-salted caramels. Although, this was not a winning combination for our teeth. 🙁 Within a few weeks, pretty little bird songs and baby green buds on the trees are going to have us all grinning from ear-to-ear. Let’s not make it a brown or yellow smile- okay? Go to your local pharmacy and invest in some whitening toothpaste and Crest Whitestrips. At about $40 a package, they are definitely a bargain compared to professional whitening systems and work just as well!

Now, on to the rose! 🙂Crest_3D_White_Luxe_Glamorous_White_Whitestrips_Teeth_Whitening_Kit_Details

2. A Visit to the Hair Salon

I was guilty of this at one time in my life, being a mom who had time for the salon. Luckily for me, God has a sense of humor and ways to make it virtually impossible for me to miss my monthly trip to the salon. It is called gray hair! The only upside to being struck with grays, is that I need a refresh every five weeks. And, every five weeks I feel like a new women and I hope you will too!

If gray isn’t your problem, we’re sure this dry winter weather must have taken a toll on your tresses. Get rid of those dead dry ends, just like the old branches on the trees. Book a salon appointment soon!

I even have documented my good hair day moment… look at that pure joy! lol!

1. Buy Yourself Some Flowers

One of the best parts of spring is seeing and smelling the beautiful blossoms that will color our landscapes. But, you don’t have to wait! Now, it’s always nice to have someone send you a beautiful bouquet of flowers. But ladies, if FTD isn’t knocking on your door, feel free to go and buy yourself a few nice, lush, bouquets! You deserve it! And then, spread those pretty buds all around your home as a reminder of the beautiful fashions Mother Nature herself will be sporting in just a little while. What the heck, feel free to throw them in your hair. – Jessica

Until then, enjoy the unseasonably warm weather and cross your fingers and toes we don’t get any snowballs thrown at us. – Jessica 🙂

Oh hell NO! I will throw them right back! – Kimberly XOXO
