So I got an awesome new attachment for my KitchenAid mixer!  AN ICE CREAM MAKER!!!!!  Get it here on (and help support my site!)

My ultimate goal is to make “healthy” (as healthy as can be) ice cream that tastes amazing!  That said, this is definitely a work in progress, so any suggestions are welcome.

Combine rose petals, half & half, and milk in a sauce pan and heat over low heat until it boils stirring occasionally

Slowly stir the yolk/sugar/milk mixture into the hot milk, then bring to a boil over medium low heat then remove from heat

Refrigerate the mixture until it gets to fridge temperature

Add toasted almonds and vanilla to mixture, then add the mixture to the ice cream maker, let it do its business (about 30 minutes) then transfer to a container and freeze until fully frozen

Voila! Rose Almond Ice Cream!
